devlog #21 | the digital illusion
[ LISTENING TO: Ryuichi Sakamoto - Opus ]
[ LIGHTING: Single amber tungsten bulb ]
We used to escape reality by logging onto the internet. Today, it’s entirely the opposite. We create art to escape the deafening noise of the very digital landscape we are forced to inhabit.
While rendering the shadows for the obsidian cathedral tonight, I caught myself scrolling mindlessly. The algorithm demands speed. It demands hyper-stimulation. It wants us to consume everything and digest nothing. But classical training—whether it’s holding a pencil for hours to nail a perspective in Blender or practicing a Chopin nocturne until your fingers bleed—is a violent act of resistance against modern impatience.
This devlog is not just a showcase of my 3D pipelines, my camera settings, or my musical scores. It is an intentional sanctuary. A place where things take time to grow, where pixels and notes are treated with the patience they deserve.
If you are reading this, thank you for stepping out of the noise for a moment. Thank you for entering this alleyway.
